This is actually a birthday gift for my sister-in-law
They have always had the most amazing, 'individual' cats, with loads of Personality and Jim is no different.

I did get rather carried away, obsessed with the glass vase he's snuggled up against, but the most important thing here was to capture his character, and the play of light. It was stormy weather outside, but the sun had broken through the heavily laden sky and illuminated everything, creating stark contrasts and striking colours ...

I had fun painting this one, I admit!
