How many faces or bodies can you find?
Works under this title of Rooted were painted for a "call for artists" competition - I see rooted as being the human condition, of feeling trapped in a physical body although this is not how I feel. My feelings and how I celebrate my "physical" existence is better portrayed in "my Love of Trees" series.
I did enjoy painting these wonderful Olive trees though, and finding symbolic meanings: I also enjoyed trying to paint what Rooted meant to me as a concept.
Funny it's like writting - seems impossible when you sit before a blank page but once you get started there's no stopping! It just flows
