Heh. Good thing I came backs, but I just had to see it again! Thank you, Bruce; I mean it's very simple, almost symmetrical, with a horizon line dividing the glistening foliage above from the grass and black trunks beneath; but the foliage successfully dominates, so the horizon becomes irrelevant but still, there's a "tension" between the two, so it keeps on "working" -- lots of movement in this piece, but in the end, the upper half wins, so it's not symmetrical, which adds to the interest.

Hi, again, Lizzy! I came back to say that only on looking the third time at this beautiful painting (not counting other times seeing your name without connecting, as with THE FOREST FOR THE TREES),did I notice the relevance (or irreverence?) of your name and your love of trees! Sorry if I am a little nutty. No doubt not the first or only one. I also want to ask openly of Kip DeVore what is meant by "working" in the comment above.

Oh Yes! Definitely very nice; definitely in the same theme as your first (now sold); but certainly as good as if not even better. A simple but very "working" composition.

From another tree-lover!! ANY kind of tree. These are beautifully painted, Lizzy. I like the merger of the tops -- blossoms -- into a oneness. It is a great image of unity AND individualism together -- at the same time!
